How to prepare for the clock change this autumn?
How to prepare for the clock change this autumn?
In today’s video, we're going to focus on preparing yourself and your sleep for the end of daylight savings and the clock change.
Most people I’ve worked with to help them overcome their long-term insomnia or sleep problems don’t really think about preparing ahead of time. But preparing ahead of time can really help you go through this time of the year in a much better way.
The clocks are going back on the night of 28th October in the United Kingdom and Europe, and the night of the 4th November for the US. The clock changing is a very normal part of the autumn and the spring each year. So once daylight savings end, we do really head into winter and the shorter days that it comes with.
Changing sleep schedule during this time comes with its own challenges, not even thinking about the normal challenges long-term insomnia and sleep problems come with. Of course, the autumn clock change is a bit easier, because the clocks go back, meaning that we gain a bit more daylight in the evenings for a while.
The way even I still prepare for the clocks going back is very similar each year. It works really well to address all those different things that happen to us during this time physically, emotionally and mentally as well.
In today’s video. I walk through a number of practical things that you can do ahead of time to prepare yourself and your sleep well for the autumn clock change.
