Prioritise these to successfully overcome long-term insomnia - World Sleep Day 2025
What are the most important things to prioritise to fully overcome your long-term insomnia and sleep problems?
Today we’re celebrating World Sleep Day hosted by the World Sleep Society. Since 2018, I’ve been a delegate each year to support people like you who still struggle with long-term insomnia and sleep problems.
This year, the theme of World Sleep Day is: Make Sleep Health A Priority.
In today’s video, we’ll use this theme but really focus our attention on what to prioritise so you can be in the best position to overcome your long-term sleep problems or insomnia. I’ll share with you the three key messages that the World Sleep Society wants the delegates to focus on.
When you prioritise these most important things that I mention, you’ll be in the best position to overcome your long-term insomnia and sleep problems. Prioritising sleep health has to work alongside doing the right things in order to overcome the challenges that you have. It’s important to remember that without doing the work to make changes, prioritising sleep isn’t always going to lead to a better outcome.
In my new book, Sleep Skills for Life, I talk about the 7 step practical plan that I work on with my client in my private sleep coaching practice. Working through this plan and all the exercises in the book that I share, you’ll really be in a great position to see your sleep improve in the coming weeks. So naturally, it’s part of my suggestions on what to prioritise.
World Sleep Day is such a great opportunity to engage with practitioners all over the world. We all share useful resources that can help you work on the sleep in different ways.
Use the comments below to ask any questions about these priorities I mentioned in today’s video.
Have a good World Sleep Day!
