There is no such thing as 'quick', 'easy' and 'effortless' but...

Of course, you can also learn those practical ways that you can overcome your sleep problems and insomnia too.

Since 2014, I have published many articles and videos to help you get to know your sleep better and overcome sleep problems and even insomnia. Some of the videos are recorded at previous talks or simply answering a question from my audience on a particular topic.

On this page, you will find the most recently published resource.

How to fall asleep easily at night without doing things in bed? - Sleep Coach Q&A

How to fall asleep easily at night without doing things in bed?  - Sleep Coach Q&A

One of the most common questions I'm asked is how to fall asleep naturally or similar versions of the same question. So in today’s video, I’m going to share with you a very particular part of falling asleep easily and naturally which is all about how to fall asleep at night without doing this in bed.

More and more, I talk to people who do a number of different things once they get into bed which are not really sorting out their long-term sleep problems or insomnia. From tools, techniques, watching or listening to something all the way to off-the-shelf medication, the list I heard over the years is endless really!

It’s really not very complicated to figure out what to do to fall asleep but most of the time you would have picked up general tips and advice when it comes to this part of sleep problems. Sleep hygiene techniques or routines are only effective if they really work with the root cause of the sleep problem. But if you’re not sure what that is then any sleep tips or advice you use is really less likely to be effective at all.

A good and effective bedtime routine or evening preparation for sleep is one that is mostly natural and doesn't require a lot of effort or ‘doing’. And in today’s video, I’ll talk about a mindset and some practicalities for you to start working through so you can also fall asleep easily and more naturally at night in the coming weeks.

But it's worth bearing in mind that what helps you to fall asleep might not be the same as for everyone else. Really tailoring how and what you do is what is the most effective approach with sleep, everyone’s life and circumstances are different.
