Assessing insomnia and sleep problems online can be a bit of a hit-and-miss. I’ve seen very general questions through an online sleep assessment leaving even me wondering what the purpose of that was. The best way to really make an online sleep assessment for sleep effective is to ask a number of specific and detailed enough questions that look at more recent sleep.
There is not much point in looking at how you step last year, or even last month if the sleep problems or insomnia have been around long-term. Whilst I take that into account with my clients, it’s not always helpful and as things change over a period of time we really want to start with the most recent few weeks.
We really want to assess and understand the more recent sleep dynamics, sleep strengths and weaknesses through a sleep assessment or insomnia assessment to be able to build a practical plan that will help you overcome your sleep problems or insomnia or improve your sleep.
