In today’s sleep myths debunked video, we’ll talk about taking melatonin supplements for sleep. I more and more regularly get asked if melatonin makes you sleepy or if melatonin helps you sleep better.
As the headlines became more frequent about about the use of melatonin to help you sleep better or help you fall asleep quicker and easier, more and more people like you started using melatonin.
But if you’re not sure about being deficient in melatonin, you naturally won’t know how to take melatonin properly to provide some support to your body.
So in today's video, I’ll talk about a number of misconceptions about melatonin as well as how I may use or not in my sleep coaching practice.
Melatonin for insomnia is quite often even recommended by general online resources, but it’s really important to figure out if you should even take melatonin first. Most people I meet through my work are not melatonin deficient and other things cause their long-term insomnia or sleep problems.
After we untangle some of the misconceptions about melatonin supplements, we’ll also talk about whether you should take melatonin every night, or if taking melatonin for sleep is even beneficial.
I’ll then walk you through two client examples and share with you how I’d approach this question and the use of melatonin supplements with my clients.
Unfortunately, melatonin has become very popular and with unlimited version of melatonin supplements on the market, people like you of course can easily get access to these.
If you have any questions about what I shared with you in today’s video, or another myths or advice you’ve seen online, feel free to let me know.
