What are the 3 key elements of good quality sleep? - World Sleep Day 2023
Let’s talk about what are the main 3 key elements of good quality sleep. Over the years I talked about many of the things that you can work on to improve your sleep or even overcome your sleep problems or insomnia. And today, we are actually going to focus on the main 3 things I look at in my sleep coaching practice.
The reason I picked this topic for today’s video is that Friday, the 17th of March 2023 is World Sleep Day and this will be my 6th year of being a delegate of World Sleep Day. It’s always a great opportunity to join other practitioners to raise awareness about sleep problems or chronic insomnia.
The World Seep Society picks a slogan for each year, and this year it's: Sleep is Essential for Health.
One of the key messages for World Sleep Day 2023 is about how Sleep is more than just duration. To be able to focus on today’s video, I’ll be talking about the key elements of good quality sleep: sleep duration, sleep continuity and sleep depth. I’ll break this down one at a time and talk about what you can do to start overcoming your sleep problems or even insomnia.
Not being able to sleep well at night is such a frustrating and draining problem. I know it very well from the times when I struggled with insomnia too. But when you learn to develop what I call Sleep Skills for Life, you’re able to ensure good quality sleep for many years to come.
If you’re still not sure how to sleep well at night, and you’ve tried and tested so many things that didn’t work, I’d invite you to join my community and check out my sleep coaching services via my website.
Sleep problems and insomnia doesn’t have to rule your life. Unless you have a medical disorder that stops you from sleeping well, it’s completely possible to finally sleep well consistently again.
