Receiving feedback in life shouldn't ruin your sleep at night

Being open to feedback, relevant advice, and learning about how we can be better at what we do is something that also relates to sleeping well at night.
But the important thing is not to turn this into a negative pattern... that keeps us awake at night. As a professional speaker, I had to learn that over the years too.
The truth is that you can never please everyone, all the time, with every single thing you say or do.
That is just impossible!
And accepting that especially when we put ourselves out there is something that can really help us to look at any feedback, advice or learning is a proactive and useful part of our growth.
I presented a talk at the Professional Speaking Association's London group, and with the help of the Mentimeter, I received these words that make up the word art below.
This WordArt was a gift from the team: Anthony Stears and Jon Baker who are co-presidents of the group, and Rachel Maunder who supports the speakers ahead of the event (and so many others who make these events still a great place to be).
And I actually really love how it visually represents the impact of the talk, the bigger the word, the more people used the same word to describe the talk itself.
Thank you so much for this gift!
