Of course, you can also learn those practical ways that you can overcome your sleep problems and insomnia too.

Since 2014, I have published many articles and videos to help you get to know your sleep better and overcome sleep problems and even insomnia. Some of the videos are recorded at previous talks or simply answering a question from my audience on a particular topic.

How to deal with Dysfunctional Beliefs? - Part 6 of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia

How to deal with Dysfunctional Beliefs - Part 6 of the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia video series

(This video is part 6 of 6: for other videos in this series about CBT for Insomnia, scroll down to the end of this blog post)

Today we’re going to talk about the last - 6th part - of cognitive behavioural therapy which is all about how to deal with dysfunctional beliefs about sleep. Dysfunctional beliefs are something I work with every day in my sleep coaching practice helping people like you to finally overcome their long-term insomnia or sleep problems.

Dysfunctional beliefs are in a way limiting beliefs in relation to sleep but changing insomnia beliefs is actually a big part of learning how to sleep well consistently again. Our mind is an incredibly powerful part of creating sleep, and beliefs are there to help us understand events and in a way avoid unpleasant experiences.

But they are only part of the convexity of long-term sleep problems and insomnia. So it’s important to understand the steps you can take towards changing beliefs about sleep. worked with in the past has had a slightly different combination of struggles and what helped them to improve their sleep.

In today’s video, I’ll talk you through a bit of a step-by-step guide so you can learn what it takes to deal with dysfunctional beliefs about sleep.

But as I mentioned in this video, it’s important to also seek help if you’re not able to successfully work through these steps and see tangible results in your sleep improvements.

I’m sure that the examples I gave and the practical ways I explained these to parts will help you look at your beliefs in a more practical way.
