Since its launch in 2021, The Sleep Deep Method® Sleep Questionnaire changed it's name to The Sleep Deep Method® Sleep Assessment.

The Sleep Deep Method® Sleep Assessment is a way to easily and effectively assess the extent of your sleep problems or insomnia. Once fully answering the questions at your convenience, you'll be automatically sent your results. Based on your personalised results, you'll be in a much better position to put in place the practical changes.

There is no such thing as advice, tips or secrets that work for everyone with any type of sleep problem. This is why assessing your sleep is the very first step in making sure that you actually overcome your sleep problems or insomnia, no matter how long you've been struggling.

29 % of participants said that it takes them more than 30 minutes to fall asleep, 3 or more times a week. Not being able to fall asleep easily and consistently (or not knowing how to) is one of the most common sleep problems that professionals struggle with evening after evening.

28 % of participants said that they are awake for more than 30 minutes during the night, 3 or more times a week. Not being able to sleep through the night without disturbances (or not knowing how to) is one of the most common sleep problems that professionals struggle with night after night.

33 % of participants said that they wake up more than 30 minutes before their alarm, 3 or more times a week. Not being able to extend quality sleep till the morning alarm and wake up naturally (or not knowing how to) means that professionals are waking up tired even before the day begins.

15 % of participants said that they sleep less than 6 hours a night, 3 or more times a week. Not sleeping enough due to lifestyle choices or sleep problems results in tiredness in the morning affecting daytime productivity and mood as well.

50 % of participants said that they sleep between 6 and 7 hours a night, 3 or more times a week. The recommended daily amount of sleep is between 7 and 9 hours for a healthy adult. While this varies from person to person, sleeping less than 7 hours often causes consistent tiredness.

54 % of participants said that they wake up tired in the morning, 3 or more times a week. This is not surprising considering the other answers to the previous questions. Insufficient quality and quantity of sleep will cause tiredness in the morning affecting all 7 areas of life.

18 % of participants said that they wake up exhausted in the morning, 3 or more times a week. The more frequently a person feels exhausted in the morning, the more likely they struggle with long-term sleep problems, insomnia, or even undiagnosed sleep disorders.

4 % of participants said that they fall asleep in inappropriate places, 3 or more times a week. Not being able to stay awake or fall asleep uncontrollably in inappropriate places can be a sign of a more serious undiagnosed sleep disorder.

51 % of participants said that they had sleep problems for longer than 3 years. Long-term sleep problems or insomnia lead to other health-related problems, mental health challenges, and a lack of daytime productivity.

26 % of participants said that they had sleep problems for longer than 1 year. The global pandemic and how it impacted our life links to the increase in lifestyle-related sleep problems that affects our everyday life and mental health.

The questions in The Sleep Deep Method® Sleep Assessment are designed to focus on lifestyle-related sleep problems and insomnia, looking at the frequency and the extent of the problems that you are experiencing.

Please note, this online Sleep Assessment is not designed to diagnose you but simply to encourage you to take your sleep problems seriously. It's very important to seek professional advice if you struggle to sleep well consistently rather than improperly self-diagnosing.

The Sleep Deep Method® Sleep Assessment is anonymous but to be able to send you your personalised results and further support you, we gather your e-mail address as well.

About Beatrix

Beatrix is a sleep coach, professional speaker and the author of The Sleep Deep Method®. Having struggled with insomnia and burning herself out in her mid-twenties, she spent the last 12 years researching sleep and learning that in order for us to sleep well at night, we need to look much deeper than just how tired we are and the number of hours we sleep.

She believes that sleeping well at night is a set of practical skills that we can all develop which is why she has launched the Sleep Skills For Life Masterclass Series in 2021.

In 2019 she completed the Edinburgh Sleep Science Course, accredited by the Royal Society of Physicians and a course on CBTi (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia). She continues her research on the topic of sleep, insomnia, and other sleep problems as a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine.
